Deepak Sankit is the President of an association of artisans named Kundan Meena Hastshilp Vikas Sanstha.

Deen Dayal Rajkumar is a family business run by Mr. Rajkumar’s son, Deepak Sankit. Mr. Sankit is a Master Craftsperson of Meenakari jewelry making. Meenakari is the most extraordinary enamel work of India and has been passed down for generations. It involves the carving or scratching of gold, before applying the enamel, in order to reflect through the translucent enamel color, so that the colors appear as shimmering precious stones.

Mr. Sankit works out of his home in Jaipur, Rajasthan along with four family members and four employees he trained himself. It can take months to finish traditional style Meenakari. Deepak Sankit is an involved teacher of Meenakari – both traditional and contemporary applications. Mr. Sankit has developed some modernized designs using contemporary forms and strategic color combinations for today’s market.

He Got National merit awards for making enameled gold Beads. He had demonstrated meenakari work in many countries like USA, Muscat(Oman), Pakistan, Switzerland, Hungary etc.
